I'm An Yan. I don't treat Chinese metaphysics as mysticism — I treat it as a set of tools for describing the relationship between people and time. Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology) reveals the structure, BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) reveals the texture, and Feng Shui reveals the field around you.
The value of these tools isn't in telling you how fate will unfold — it's in helping you see the present clearly, so you can make your choices with a little more confidence.
My work isn't prophecy, it's translation — turning the seemingly hazy signals in your chart into language you can understand and actually use. And in the end, the decision is still yours to make.

How I Work
No prophecy
Only translation
Many people, before they come to me, think of Chinese metaphysics in terms of whether it's "accurate" or "magic." I'd like us to be clear about this before we ever meet —
I believe a chart is a structural language, but I don't believe anyone can make your decisions for you. We see it together, discuss it together, and work things out together — but the path is always yours to walk.
Ask the real questions
Before every consultation, I ask you to write down what's troubling you. When the questions are clear, the information a chart can offer becomes useful.
Speak plainly
I try not to pile on jargon. A chart is a tool, not a way to impress or intimidate. If something can be said clearly, I won't talk in circles.
Leave room to choose
I won't tell you that you "must do this." Chinese metaphysics can only offer a reference — the one who decides is always you.
No exaggeration, no fear
No talk of "great financial ruin" or "looming disaster." I'll share everything worth sharing, but never dramatize it.

From questions to answers
More than a decade of conversation
First encounter with Zi Wei Dou Shu
A consultation for an elder in my family first sparked my interest in charts. I began teaching myself from a single old book.
Studying under Master Da Geng
I formally became a student of Master Da Geng to study Zi Wei Dou Shu systematically. That was the year I began treating this as serious study.
Taking on private consultations
Starting with friends around me, I gradually took on consultations from different cities. It was the first time I realized this could be a lifelong calling.
Deepening BaZi & Feng Shui
Realizing that Zi Wei alone didn't give a full picture of a person, I took up BaZi and Xuan Kong Feng Shui. The three tools began to confirm one another.
Xiantang is founded
I brought years of consultation, teaching, and writing together in one place. "Xi" is peace and joy; "An" is a settled heart and mind.
Teaching begins
I gathered the questions asked most often over the years into courses. My hope is that Chinese metaphysics isn't a tool for only a few.
Still reading charts, writing, and teaching every day
I write a "Solar Term Letter" for every seasonal turning point. I've read thousands of charts, yet I give each one my full attention.

Where you live and where you work shape your state in return. The energy between a space and a person flows both ways.

The Symbol
A name is the incantation a person uses most. Aligned with BaZi and the sound and meaning of each character, the symbol becomes your ally.
